Training Tuesday: Gearing up for 2014 Worlds with the US M8+, GB M4- and 2+

The 2014 World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam are fast approaching, and today we're taking an inside look at training with the U.S. men's eight, and the British men's four and pair with coxswain, in the form of three videos produced by crew members. The above showcases the GB men's four—the odds-on favorite to win another world title this year—and introduces each of the athletes by way of micro-interviews. And, what sets this video apart is the inclusion of their chief coach, J├╝rgen Grobler, who adds his two cents at the end of the piece.

Not to be outdone by their senior national team squadmates, Henry Fieldman and the GB pair with coxswain have upped the banter level with funny look at 'a day in the life of the typical coxed pair.' Yes, it's pretty much rockstar status (much like the life of a rowing journalist).

And last, but certainly not least, Matt Miller (who is quickly becoming an engine-room fixture in the U.S. men's eight) has released another installment in his series of training videos, this one based on footage in and around the training center in Princeton, New Jersey.

While senior worlds are just around the corner, the World Rowing Junior Championships just wrapped up in Hamburg, Germany. We'll have reaction and analysis from junior worlds tomorrow here on RR, as well as our selection for Video Of The Week. Keep it locked.
